映画「オズの魔法使い」の挿入歌として作られ、現在ではジャズ・スタンダードとしても揺るぎない人気を誇る名曲。新井靖志氏とその門下生で結成された『Circle A Sax!!』から2024年に委嘱頂き編曲した楽譜です。それぞれのパートに見せ場や情感を込めるシーンがあり、難易度も比較的高くアンサンブルにも繊細さが求められますが、万感の思いを込めたアレンジゆえというところでしょうか。後半にかけてとてもエモーショナルな展開になります。ぜひ味わいながら演奏して頂けたらと思います。

Originally composed for the movie "The Wizard of Oz", it is now also a popular jazz standard. This score was commissioned in 2024 by "Circle A Sax!!", formed by Yasushi Arai and his students. Each part has its own showcase and emotional scene, and requires a relatively high level of playing skill and sensitivity for the ensemble. However, this should be made from the arranger's great empathy for the members. The second half of the piece develops in a very dramatic way. I hope you will enjoy the heart-moving experience of playing it.
