Spanish composer Manuel de Falla, whose 150th birthday will be celebrated in 2026, is known for blending rich folk elements with modern complexity in his style. The "Danza ritual del Fuego(Ritual Fire Dance)" from the ballet El amor brujo(Love the Magician) is a famous piece with a truly intense and distinctive mystical atmosphere. Including this piece in your program will make for a much more varied concert. Technically, the piece features many ornamental notes, such as trills, and numerous accidentals, which can be challenging for each player.
