ショパン+ ユーフォニアム= ショピニアム。委嘱者であるOrigAmi さんから「ショパンを題材に」とご提案頂いて書いた作品です。それにしてもショパンには名曲のなんと多いことか！その豊かな楽想には感服するばかり。普段の私はどちらかというと素材をどんどん展開していく手法を好むのですが今回ばかりは別で、原曲の素晴らしさを生かしてとにかく沢山の曲を繰り出す、直球勝負な作品を編むに至りました。甘い旋律と甘い音色のマリアージュをたっぷりとお楽しみください。もちろん凄腕のプレイヤーのために、彼らをイメージして書いていますので技術的にもかなり要求が高いと言えますが、演奏会に華やかさを加える曲になるかと思います！

なお、4thはチューバでの演奏も想定しているほか、各パートは低音部譜表を用いる多くの楽器で演奏可能かと思います。ぜひ挑戦してみて下さい。

Chopin + Euphonium = Chopinium. This piece was written following a request from OrigAmi, who commissioned it, to use Chopin's works as the theme. While creating it, I was once again amazed by how many masterpieces Chopin composed! I am truly impressed by the richness of his musical ideas. Therefore, while I typically prefer a method of expanding on themes, this time I took a different approach, focusing on preserving the excellence of the original piece and creating a work that features a large number of pieces. Please enjoy the marriage of sweet melodies and sweet tones to your heart's content. Of course, I wrote this piece with extremely skillful players in mind, so it is quite technically demanding, but I think it will add brilliance to the concert!

The 4th part is also intended to be played on the tuba. I think this piece can be played on many instruments that use the bass clef. Please give it a try. The range of each part is shown in the upper section. For extreme ranges, you can transpose by an octave.
